I have been thinking for a while about what my theme could be for my Folksy Friday. In the end I chose to feature buttons. We use buttons everyday and they are usually on our shirts, coats, trouser etc. But of course they have many more uses than that. So I thought we could see the different ways in which crafters use buttons other than just on clothing. So here is my first ever Folksy Friday, I hope you like it.
I have to say I really enjoyed doing this Folksy Friday and searching for items to feature. Some I have seen before , others I found by accident. I never thought buttons had so many uses before. I think this may have opened up a new world of adventure for me!!!
P.S I would like to do another Folksy Friday next week but I'm stuck on a theme. Please submit your suggestions here or here by 12th May so that I can look through them and choose one for my next Folksy Friday on 14th May.
It's great hunting items out isn't it? What a fun selection of buttons! I have trouble with themes so I just pick things I like and do a search, maybe your favourite colour or interest? Di x
I love all things girly and beautiful. Elegant things and sparkly things and cute stuff too. I love unusual things that you cannot find in high street stores, something just that little bit different.
I also love to be creative and try making things all the time, this ranges from doing creative things with food or fabric or paper or anything else that I might fancy.
Lovely buttony items - sweet pin cushions and little bracelet.
ReplyDeleteZips? You could explore more retro fastenings...?
